Pickleball in Fairhope, Alabama

Fairhope has two substantial public outdoor pickleball options. Mike Ford Tennis Center at Stimpson Park now has 12 pickleball courts, lights, free public play, lessons, and long daily hours. Quail Creek adds six dedicated pickleball courts with first-come access. Mike Ford is the stronger starting point for visitors and beginners because it combines the larger court complex with on-site pickleball programming and instruction.

Where to Play Pickleball in Fairhope

  • Mike Ford Tennis Center at Stimpson Park
600 Morphy Avenue, Fairhope, AL 36532
The expanded complex has 12 outdoor pickleball courts. Public pickleball play is free, and the courts are lighted. Facility hours are 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM Friday through Sunday. Pickleball lessons are also available through the center. See Mike Ford Tennis Center information.
  • Quail Creek Pickleball Courts
19841 Quail Creek Drive, Fairhope, AL 36532
Quail Creek has six dedicated outdoor pickleball courts. The courts are first-come, first-served. Normal court time is limited to 1 hour 15 minutes. When all courts are occupied, play is limited to 45 minutes or two games to 11. Shirts and non-black-soled footwear are required. There is no published recurring open play schedule, so these courts are most dependable when you already have other players. See Quail Creek court rules.

Beginner Pickleball in Fairhope

New players should start at Mike Ford Tennis Center. Pickleball lessons are offered at the facility, giving a beginner a direct way to learn the game before trying to join recreational games on the public courts. See Mike Ford Tennis Center programs and lesson information.

Players looking for additional individual instruction can also use the Coaches section.

Open Play and Organized Pickleball

Fairhope has plenty of public court capacity, though the city does not currently publish a recurring pickleball open play rotation for Mike Ford or Quail Creek. That distinction matters if you are arriving alone. Public court access means you can play when a court is available. It does not guarantee an organized group will be waiting for you.

Mike Ford Tennis Center hosts pickleball programming and lessons and posts upcoming facility events through its official event channel. See current Mike Ford Tennis Center events and updates.

Visiting Fairhope and Looking for a Game?

If you are traveling alone, start at Mike Ford Tennis Center. Its 12 public pickleball courts, free play, lights, lessons, and regular facility programming make it the most practical first stop in Fairhope. There is no published recurring open play session that guarantees opponents, so arriving alone is different from registering for a scheduled drop-in program.

If you already have partners, both Mike Ford and Quail Creek are straightforward outdoor choices. Mike Ford gives you the larger complex and longer published facility hours. Quail Creek gives you six dedicated first-come courts with clear time limits when demand is high.
